The Eternal Sleep story inspiration

Initially drawn in by a working title inspired by Sole’s “Bottle Of Humans” song, “A galaxy called integrity…” grew into what would become “The Eternal Sleep.”

I was always disturbed and curious about the parallels between sleep and death, and yes, the Nas hook too had me think about their relationship and the “cousin” insinuation. From there I started to research sleep in depth and learned a great deal about the associated conditions and what it could, and does, actually mean.

Lots of aspects of sleep are known to us and a great deal, like many functions of the body and brain, remain a mystery. The story grew from my curiosity if we could test brain activity in sleep and if it continued, what could that mean. Out of that Dr. Jacquelyn Walsh and her story emerged.
